With the Bihar Assembly elections just days away, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the opposition Mahagathbandhan, questioning their unity and preparedness.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Paswan said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would form the next Bihar government and “celebrate Diwali on November 14,” referring to the expected date of the poll results.
Criticism of Mahagathbandhan’s Delayed Seat-Sharing
Paswan criticised the Congress and RJD-led alliance for their delay in finalising seat-sharing arrangements, terming it a sign of disorganisation and lack of seriousness.
“Where is Rahul Gandhi? Was it not the moral responsibility of Rahul ji and Tejashwi Yadav to sit together and resolve alliance issues? This shows the Congress’s lack of seriousness,” Paswan remarked.

He further added that if the Mahagathbandhan cannot manage unity among its five constituent parties, it cannot be trusted to “keep Bihar united.”
NDA’s United Front and Election Strategy
Highlighting the NDA’s timely seat-sharing announcement, Paswan claimed it has sent a “very positive message” among voters.
“The atmosphere is one-sided in favour of NDA. We completed seat sharing on time, and we are confident of winning more seats than expected,” he said.
Paswan reiterated his party’s goal of transforming Bihar through industrialisation, education reforms, and healthcare improvement, pledging to make Bihar “first among states.”

Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav confirmed that the Mahagathbandhan would soon announce its Chief Ministerial candidate. He is scheduled to meet senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, and the official announcement is expected on Thursday.
“There are no disputes within the alliance. You will get all the answers tomorrow,” Tejashwi said, dismissing rumours of internal rifts.
