A horrifying stabbing incident on a London-bound train in Cambridgeshire on Saturday night left ten passengers injured, with nine reported to have life-threatening injuries. Armed police arrested two suspects soon after the attack, which sent shockwaves across the UK.
Eyewitness Describes Terrifying Scenes
One of the passengers, identified as Gavin, recounted the panic inside the train, telling Sky News that several passengers were “extremely bloodied.” He recalled hearing a survivor scream, “They’ve got a knife. I’ve been stabbed!”

Gavin said someone pulled the emergency cord, forcing the train to stop at Huntingdon station. “By the time the train stopped, victims were on the floor. One collapsed and was taken to an ambulance almost immediately,” he said.
Police and Emergency Response
British Transport Police confirmed that ten people were taken to hospital and that counter-terrorism officers were assisting with the investigation. Multiple police vehicles, ambulances, and armed officers surrounded the station after the emergency alert was raised.

Passengers Describe Chaos and Fear
Witnesses told The Times that there was “blood everywhere” as passengers rushed to hide in washrooms or fled down the aisles. Some were trampled amid the chaos as others tried to escape.
Suspects Neutralised with Taser
Gavin said police detained the attackers after a brief confrontation. “Armed officers were shouting ‘get down!’ One suspect was waving a large knife. They used a Taser to bring him down,” he added.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the motive for the attack, and investigations are underway.
