Former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas has been elected as the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday. He becomes the 37th president, succeeding Roger Binny, who stepped down after turning 70 last month.

- Rajeev Shukla and Devajit Saikia were re-elected as BCCI vice-president and secretary.
- Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, earlier treasurer, has now been appointed as joint secretary, replacing Rohan Gauns Desai.

- Jaydev Niranjan Shah has been elected as a member of the apex council.
- Arun Singh Dhumal and Khairul Jamal Majumdar were inducted into the Governing Council.

Mithun Manhas, nominated by the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), has been associated with cricket administration as well as professional cricket.
- Made first-class debut in 1997-98 season.
- Represented India Under-19 and India A.
- Played 147 first-class matches, scoring 9,714 runs at an average of 45.82, with 27 centuries and 49 fifties.
- Best Ranji season: 2007-08, scoring 921 runs at 57.56, leading Delhi to a title win.
- In List A cricket, scored 4,126 runs in 130 games at 45.84 average, with 5 centuries and 26 fifties.
- Took 75 wickets with off-spin, and was a part-time wicketkeeper.
IPL Career
Manhas featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Pune Warriors India, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
