A Delhi court on Thursday remanded Dr Muzammil Ganie, Shaheen Saeed, Adeel Ahmad Rather and Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay to 10-day National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody in connection with the November 10 suicide car bombing near Delhi’s Red Fort.
NIA Takes Custody After Production Orders
The four accused had earlier been arrested by Jammu & Kashmir Police as part of a “white-collar terror module”. They were formally taken into NIA custody in Srinagar following production orders issued by Patiala House Court.
According to the NIA, all four individuals “played a key role” in the terror attack that killed 15 people and injured dozens.
Who Are the Accused?
Three of the accused — Muzammil, Adeel and Shaheen — were employed at Faridabad’s Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences. Officials believe the group formed part of a Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind-linked module operating across J&K, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

How the Investigation Unfolded
The case began when JeM posters appeared near Srinagar on October 18–19. The interrogation of three men arrested for pasting the posters eventually led investigators to Maulvi Irfan — and subsequently to the Al-Falah module.
Six Arrests So Far in the Red Fort Blast
The suicide attacker, Dr Umar Nabi of Al-Falah University, died in the blast. Earlier, the NIA arrested car owner Amir Rashid Ali and drone expert Jasir Bilal Wani. The NIA is coordinating with multiple state police units to identify every member of the terror network.
