Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday declared that Dalit and Tribal communities have resolved to remove the NDA government in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking confidently during a brief interaction with ANI at a public event, Yadav said:
“The power is about to change. Bihar will change. The Dalit and tribal communities have decided to remove the current government from power.”
Questions Raised on Nitish Kumar’s Health
Earlier in the day, Tejashwi Yadav questioned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s mental health and fitness to govern, suggesting that he may no longer be capable of making sound decisions for the state.
Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing the Chief Minister’s unusual gestures during a virtual event, Yadav wrote:
“How does it feel to see the Chief Minister of a state in such a pathetic condition? Does he appear mentally healthy while engaging in such bizarre antics?”
The post quickly sparked debate across social and political circles, with many questioning whether Nitish Kumar is fit to continue leading the state.
Allegations of a Political ‘Conspiracy’
Continuing his criticism, Yadav hinted at a deeper political plot, saying:
“Is it a conspiracy that their party, a special pawn of the BJP, has deliberately put him in this state by feeding him something under some pretext? The people of Bihar deserve to know the truth.”
His comments come amid increasing reports about Nitish Kumar’s erratic behaviour and health concerns, which have raised questions about his ability to function effectively as Chief Minister.
Video Controversy Explained
The video referenced by Yadav was from the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh 2025, a national skill convocation ceremony for ITI toppers, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented certificates virtually.
Nitish Kumar was seen joining the event online, greeting participants by folding his hands and making the Namaste gesture as the video feed scrolled through different locations.
While supporters described his gestures as courteous acknowledgments, Yadav’s remarks have turned the clip into a point of political controversy.
Elections Ahead
With the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for later this year, Yadav’s statements mark a sharpening of the Opposition’s campaign against the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government.
Opposition leaders, including those from the RJD and Congress, have increasingly targeted the Chief Minister’s leadership and well-being, framing it as a symbol of administrative fatigue and political decline ahead of a crucial electoral battle.
