Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received certificates recognizing the new records on Sunday. Deepotsav, held annually under the Chief Minister’s leadership, celebrates faith, unity, and devotion, marking Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile while reinforcing the city’s global spiritual identity.
Thousands of volunteers from universities and colleges participated in arranging and lighting the diyas. Preparations began early in the day, with lamps filled with oil and wicks inserted, and arranged in intricate patterns along the ghats. The evening lighting created a spectacular view of millions of flickering flames.
